Vertigo has been updated!

The update has finally arrived on indie games and the result of that shows itself when you start the game - it will automatically update itself to a much more stable version. If you download it fresh from the indie games section you'll be, of course, downloading the latest version of the game. So far this new version has not yet received a code 4 crash report and that is great, but if you do encounter any more problems please send us an email about it (info@vertigogame.com).

A handful of reviews has been popping up lately! Check out the following sites:

"I would thoroughly recommend platform-loving readers grab this one with both hands. It’s sleek, full of energy and well worth a single space-buck (or 69p for us Imperialists)."

Update has been sent to review

Bug testing continues. A new version of the game has been sent in for review and we hope that we got rid of most of the nasty bugs and crashes.

With a little luck Vertigo should be updated somewhere at the end of next week on marketplace. That means that as soon as you start the game it will want to update itself. If you had problems before hopefully you won't have that anymore after the update have been installed.

Right now all we can do is gather user tests through the review phace. So in other words we will see how the game plays at the end of next week.

Still working on that update...

... but the release was quite a success! Even thought we are not included in the "winter uprising" bundle we managed to reach second place on the "Top downloads" list the first two initial days after release. Vertigo, at that point, had been downloaded 2983 times and bought 117 times. Which is fairly good numbers for indie games.

After that the game continued to grow steady and had a good position on the best selling list for 2 more days until it got bumped down on the "recently released" list. Then it started to get pushed back to a position of 30 - 50 on the "best selling" list. And after 3 more days the game had moved down to a position of 70 - 90.

12 days after release this is the current stats:

Period Statistics
  • Trials: 5240
  • Purchases: 333
  • Purchase/Trial Ratio: 6.35 %
We are happy with the results but are at the same time painfully aware of that probably a number of 500 - 1500 people (maybe more) might have received a "code 4" crash bug as soon as they started the game. Now we are still working on that fix and our hopes is to be able to upload something new for review at the end of the week.

If you have played Vertigo and liked it don't be afraid to write about it on any of the sites below.
